NIN’s Tallies $1.6 Million In First Week Of Ghosts Release

Trent Reznor’s latest Nine Inch Nails release Ghosts I-IV has quickly netted the independent rocker $1.6 million according to sales figures released yesterday. The DIY, direct-to-fan album download initiative, Ghosts I-IV, is being offered in five different price points, including a free option. In the first week, the album scored 781,917 transactions overall, despite major server problems that plagued fans who attempted to download the album.

The downloading problems may have in fact helped Reznor sell physical copies of the release to fans who became fed-up with trying to download the album.
