Sony Creative Software Announces Black Paint Sample Library

Sony Creative Software has announced Black Paint: Indie Rock Anthems, a royalty-free loop library featuring the sounds of the indie rock genre. The Black Paint collection is now shipping to subscribers to the new Sony Creative Software subscription program and will be widely available on April 15, 2008.

Sony’s subscription program allows music producers to receive new titles in a variety of genres one month in advance of public release, throughout the year. The subscriber’s package includes: 12 Standard Collection libraries delivered over a 12-month period, with signup bonuses including two free loop library titles from the Classic Collection tier and an exclusive DVD loaded with 500 loops and 50 royalty-free ACID software starter projects, packaged in a special tin commemorating the 10th anniversary of ACID software and loop libraries. Enrollment is ongoing until May 1, 2008.

Black Paint is a construction kit loop library founded on the time-tested rock band backline: twin guitars, bass, and drums. Black Paint, according to Sony Creative Software, captures the spirit of indie rock and provides beats and hooks for musicians and producers. Black Paint’s creator, Brian Daly, is a musician, sound designer, and studio owner deeply rooted in the indie rock community. In addition to his past and present production and editing work for Sony, Daly is a member of indie rock band Sunshine for the Blind. As with all Sony Creative Software titles, Black Paint: Indie Rock Anthems performs within Sony’s ACID line of music creation software, but can be used on any music production platform that supports the .wav file format.
