Zen Computer Interface For Visually Impaired Could Impact Music Industry

Zen has conceptualized a special computer interface that they originally developed for the visually impaired. However, after feedback from analysts, it appears that the Zen Sandbox PC may have other applications, especially for the music industry. The monochrome incorporates a “z-axis” electronic surface to dynamically create tactile 3D features that the user can manipulate in realtime. For the blind, it can easily generate braille on the fly, but now the developers are constructing pianos, xylophones, and MIDI interfaces. Exciting stuff!

Unfortunately, the Zen is still in the concept stage, or what the industry likes to call Vaporware, but it does open up many possibilities for future interfaces.
