Microsoft Developing Surface PC For Consumers
Rumors are flying that Microsoft is readying a consumer version of their Surface multi-touch screen PC, which would be music to the audio industry’s ears. According to reports, CEO Steve Ballmer revealed the megacorp’s plans at a meeting with financial analysts. Microsoft premiered the Surface PC last year targeting the hotel and restaurant industries, but massive consumer interest has sparked the concern to develop a more affordable model. The version for the general hospitality industry will begin shipping sometime this spring, after successful tests concluded last year.
