Beastie Adam Yauch Expands Film Operation With Oscilloscope
Adam Yauch, of Beastie Boy fame, has announced that he is expanding his music and film production facilities in New York City, and is launching Oscilloscope Pictures, a full-service film distribution company.
David Fenkel, formerly from ThinkFilm, will be running the operation with Yauch. According to Yauch, Oscilloscope Pictures is designed to operate like an indie music label, hopefully with more long lasting success than Grand Royal. With Avid and post rooms as well as a marketing and design staff totaling six full-timers, Oscilloscope will enter at the earliest stages of development with some projects, and at the distribution level with others. Oscilloscope’s first project will be announced within the next month or so.
