Brainworx Releases bx_hybrid – 11 Band EQ System

Brainworx has released bx_hybrid a new 11-band EQ system for mixing and mastering. Its internal high-resolution filter algorithms and auto solo listening modes make this an interesting proposition in a field already too crowded with options. bx_hybrid is a set of 2 EQs, Mono and Stereo, that feature joystick control for sweepable Bass- and Presence-Shifter EQs, switchable EQ-bands, internal M/S stereo width and Mono Maker up to 22k.

The bx_hybrid 11-band EQ mono version, dubbed Mod 1.0 for some reason, also is multi-mono compatible on hosts that support this feature. Brainworx also reportedly tweaked and improved the filter, enabling hi-end EQ-ing up to 26 kHz, even in 44.1 kHz sessions.

They are already working on the concept of a surround version as well (Mod 5.1) which will not be an update but a separate product and released later.

Brainworx bx_hybrid costs €228 and is available now for RTAS and VST with an AU version set to debut in short order. More information on Brainworx bx_hybrid.
