Verizon Wireless Inks Guitar Hero III Mobile Game Deal

Verizon Wireless has inked a deal with Activision, creators of Guitar Hero III, to bring the popular music game to their mobile phones. The exclusive, mobile version of Guitar Hero III allows users to utilize their phone’s keys to rock out wherever they are. The Verizon version will initially feature four guitars and three venues with additional features set for release via updates.

The game will be available for a monthly charge of $4.49, or an unlimited-use charge of $11.99, and is compatible with Verizon’s “Get It Now” mobiles. Verizon’s version will initially contain 15 songs from the console edition, although users can will be able to download additional tracks in the future for additional cost. The initiative also involves mobile entertainment specialist Hands-On Mobile.
