Starr Labs Announces AirPower Wireless MIDI Transmitter / Receiver
Starr Labs has released the AirPower wireless MIDI transmitter and receiver. The new AirPower system was designed to recover from momentary dropouts in transmission without stuck or shut off notes.
Starr claims the AirPower offers a low-cost solution with a solid no-dropout communication link that uses a new system to eliminate note-off problems. 16 user-selectable channels are available, spaced across the available 2.4GHz band allowing for an estimaged range of 300 feet, and several AirPower links can simultaneously operate on the same stage. The AirPower receiver is equipped with both MIDI and USB output for direct connection to PC or Mac.
