USB Stage Rack – Internal Hard Drive Dock
It’s happened to every computer-based professional producer at least once in their career, you need to access an old internal hard drive that contains a sonic gem that cannot be recreated. But how do you access that file without re-installing the drive into a computer?
Well, UK concern, GeekStuff4U, has the answer, a universal internal hard drive “dock” that allows you to plug-in an internal drive like an old 8-Track tape.
The SATA HDD Stage Rack accpets both 3.5″ and 2.5″ internal drives (…nice touch! —Ed.) to your computer via USB. The Rack works with both Mac and PCs, and has a small footprint. Now you probably don’t want to use the Stage Rack as a main drive due to only USB 2.0 throughput and cooling issues, but for only $47 bills, it’s a handy solution.
