Phil Spector Murder Case Declared Mistrial

The judge in the Phil Spector murder trial has declared a mistrial, as jurors announced they were “hopelessly deadlocked.” Moments ago, the jury foreperson told the judge that they were deadlocked 10 – 2, but did not indicate in which direction they were favored, guilty or not guilty.

It was almost five years ago, that the Los Angeles DA charged Spector with the murder of Lana Clarkson. Spector claimed that Clarkson killed herself, yet told his driver that “I think I killed somebody.” All parties will be back in court on October 3rd for the formal announcement. The LA DA reportedly stated that the city will “try Phil Spector again.”
