Apple Readies iTunes Tagging For HD Radio

Apple is readying a new HD Radio service called iTunes Tagging, which will allow HD radio listeners in the United States to have the ability to bookmark songs for later purchase on iTunes.

The new technology was disclosed at the CEDIA Expo in Denver by iBiquity Digital and receiver manufacturer Polk Audio. Polk will feature the tagging technology in its new I-Sonic Entertainment System 2, and JBL will incorporate it into its upcoming iHD. Both receivers are being readied for the fourth quarter.
