Sirius Announces Stiletto 2 Portable Satellite Radio Player
Sirius Satellite Radio has announced that the next-generation Stiletto 2 portable player will be available this fall. The Stiletto 2 weighs 4.3 ounces, measures 1.9†W x 4.3†L x 0.6†D and features a 2.2†color LCD display and a six-way navigation control allowing for one handed action. Sirius claims the battery will last for 4 hours of satellite playtime (not much of an improvement —Ed.), 10 hours of Wi-Fi, and 20 hours of MP3 playback.
The Sirius TiVo Replay function allows pausing, rewinding, and replay of up to 60 minutes of live programming. The included Wi-Fi is for streaming of Sirius Internet content, but there may be more to this feature than Sirius is revealing. An optional car kit for $49.99 and a home kit for $49.99 will be available as well as an executive system for $149.99 that includes additional batteries and headphones.
The Sirius Stiletto 2 will sell for $349.99 and will include an AC adapter, ear buds and a PC cable. More information on the Sirius Stiletto 2.
