Will Warner Try To Woo EMI One Last Time?

Warner Music Group stated that it is considering making one final offer for EMI. EMI’s board has already agreed to a $4.7 billion cash offer from private equity company Terra Firma, but that deal has a $48 million / £24 million bailout clause, should a better offer be put forth than Terra Firma’s $5.22 per share bid.

Warner stated that if it did up the ante, “such an offer would be pre-conditional on appropriate anti-trust clearances being obtained.” Any counter offer for the company has to be made before June 27.
