Well, a couple of fashion-challenged numskulls are actually petitioning Nike to develop these kicks for retail. Claiming their sparking a “grassroots movement to get Nike to make available to consumers the futuristic-looking sneakers seen in the 1989 movie Back to the Future Part 2.”
Most likely this is some dodgy online marketing company who’s just using the McFly project to collect a substantial mailing list for people who want “futuristic sneakers” — but isn’t that why you have a Yahoo.com email address anyway?
