Koch Entertainment Buys Navarre For $6.5 Million
Koch Entertainment, an Independent label and distributor, has purchased the music distribution assets of Navarre Corporation for $6.5 million. Navarre is a publisher and distributor of a wide range of entertainment and media products, including CDs, DVDs, PC software, and video games.
Navarre has now shed what it believes is dead weight, the troubled independent music distribution sector. “The sale of Navarre Entertainment Media is a continuation of our strategy to assess all parts of the company that are in business sectors that are in decline to allow us to redeploy assets in stable and growth businesses,” said Navarre CEO Cary Deacon.
