Altec Lansing Announces inMotion iMV712 – iPod Entertainment System

Altec Lansing has announced the inMotion iMV712, a compact, all-inclusive iPod Video entertainment system that goes beyond the ubiquitous iPod sound system/dock and provides both speakers and a sharp 8.5-inch high resolution LCD screen.

At the heart of the new iMV712 is a LCD screen surrounded by Altec Lansing’s custom-engineered speakers to deliver decent quality sound and an enhanced video experience. A built-in four-inch subwoofer provides street-rumbling lows and is perfectly balanced with two three-inch speaker drivers for crisp, clear mids and highs. Altec Lansing incorporates their SFX (Stereo Field Expander) technology in the 712 to boost the sound field and give the user an immersive stereo effect so that the speakers sound further apart than they really are.

The built-in Apple universal dock securely fits and conveniently charges the iPod. A wireless remote gives easy control over both the speaker and the iPod. Or, listen to other MP3/4 players via the Aux input jack. RCA input connections allow video play from other sources such as a camcorder or VCR.

Features:
• Three-inch Neodymium speakers and built-in four-inch subwoofer.
• SFX Technology
• High-resolution, widescreen 8.5-inch TFT/LCD panel.
• Apple Universal Dock – Standard 30 pin connector.
• Universal Cradle – Provides a stage to place other MP3 players
• Wireless Remote – access to both iMV712 and iPod functions
• RCA input and S-Video output.

This iPod “entertainment system” should be a hit in college dorms and the kitchen counter.

The inMotion iMV712 will be available this month for $349.95. More information on the inMotion iMV712.
