Warner Music Group In Acquisition Talks With Front Line Management
Warner Music Group is in talks to acquire Front Line Management, the largest artist management firm in the US. . The concern, owned by Irving Azoff and Howard Kaufman, represents a several major artists from Aerosmith to Christina Aguilera and everything in between.
Speculation about the deal has been circulating since after the new year. New developments indicate that a deal could be inked as soon as May.
The Future: It’s imperative for the major labels to tap into profitable ancillary markets as their music sales continue to spiral down. We’ll be seeing more of these types of deals in 2007.
