reFX Updates QuadraSID & Slayer (Universal Binary)
reFX has updated QuadraSID to version 1.6 and Slayer to version 2.6, both are now Universal Binary / Intel-Mac compatible on Mac OS X. Far more than a simple emulation of the SID chip, QuadraSID features many new functions e.g. an arpeggiator, four LFOs, wavetables and a eight fold oversampling, this software instrument offers unlimited sonic possibilities, and surprises even the most experienced SID professional by its flexibility.
QuadraSID 1.6 Enhancements:
• Universal Binary for Mac OS X
• Some internal functions where optimized and fixed
• The easter(n)-egg now has sound effects
Slayer 2.6 Enhancements:
• Universal Binary for Mac OS X
• Some internal functions where optimized and fixed.
• edit-button removed. The result is that SLAYER2 is now always in edit-mode.
• Updated internal multithreading-protection code
