Parrot Announces Bluetooth BoomBox
Parrot has officially announced, yet another, bluetooth product, the Parrot BoomBox. The Parrot BoomBox is a wireless digital speaker in a compact format delivering a high-quality sound performance. It will play music from any mobile source with Bluetooth wireless technology that has the A2DP stereo profile. It also accepts analogue audio devices through an RCA
connection.
Set to be released sometime in the second quarter of this year, the Parrot BoomBox will enable you to wirelessly transmit music from your Bluetooth-equipped cellphone to the device via the lossy Bluetooth 2.0 + A2DP scenario. While the BoomBox is intended mainly for use with mobile devices, the unit is quite hefty, measuring approximately 17 x 7 x 8.8 inches and weighing in at over 12 pounds.
