Rane Promotes Serato Scratch’s Sales Manager Mike May
Rane Corporation has promoted Mike May to the newly created position of national sales manager for retail and DJ products. May’s career with Rane began in 1993 in tech support and he has advanced through the ranks, becoming national sales manager in 2001.
The change in responsibilities coincides with the addition of John Garbutt as national sales manager for contracting and touring products. These changes will allow Rane to better focus on and provide service to its core markets
Garbutt joined Rane with 20years of industry experience. The first ten years were spent working for a prominent design-build contracting firm and a consulting firm. Over the next ten he held national sales positions for Community Professional Loudspeakers and Inter-M Americas.
The Future: This is great news for users of Serato. May’s unrelentless championing of the digital DJ system was a big reason for its success.
